Whew!!!

Blowing a sigh of relief as I am now FINISHED with the summer project that I thought would never end!  I cannot express the weight that was lifted off my shoulders as I walked out of Parkwood with my partners in crime today.  Knowing I don't have to go back anymore to stare blindly into the computer.  Knowing we won't debate back and forth whether we interpreted the common core standards correctly and just how many people will criticize all the work we put in.  Knowing I don't have to bring any other learning pathway, assessment or school document home to create, analyze or proofread. Knowing I can have  every single day of my summer left to spend with my baby, my husband, my bestest friends, my family, at the pool, Y, decorating and organizing my new house....you name it! I am so thankful for the girls I worked with on the project and my wonderful, amazing, terrific best friend Chrissie.  She discovered a few weeks ago she could earn a stipend to work on lesson plans, learning pathways, assessments, rubrics, etc. that correlate with common core standards.  I suggested she come and work with us to alleviate some of her work and she went above and beyond to help us finish our enormous task.  Without her help we would not have finished today! I know I am in debt to her and will be working with her on some lesson planning in the very near future.  It's crazy how finishing and submitting this project and my class within the last week has been so relieving and helping me find my old, happy self.  Disney here we come!
