As many new moms can relate, I am anal worried I will miss something, so I try to capture every great moment on video or in photographs. I try to ensure I always have the camera beside or with me to snap a quick picture of whatever wonderful thing Camryn happens to be doing. I also don't want to forget what she looked like at any age, so I am very concerned with getting her picture taken by real photographers at specific milestones or for special events. With that being said, when it came time to have Cammie's 3 month pictures taken I went a little over the top and made 3 photo appointments. The first one was scheduled for Click, a local picture place in New Albany where you can get your pictures to take home the same day they are taken. I am a very instantaneous person, and LOVE having the prints to take home the same day! I also joined the Hold My Memories club (totally had sucker written on my face when I went in there to have Cammie's newborn pictures taken) at Click and to actually make it worth the money I feel that I have to get Cammie's pictures taken there on a regular basis. I have always had good luck at Click...until this photo shoot. We went to Click to have 1 Christmas picture taken and it was a DISASTER!!!! The photographers we had didn't seem to have any experience with babies, tried to put Cammie in a box that was way too small, used 0 Christmas props and didn't get one good picture of her. I was beyond disappointed. :( Again, I had sucker written on my face and bought a very small package, but regretted buying it because the picture of her was so bad. Round 2: Since the first round of pictures turned out so horribly, we thought we would try again. We are very fortunate to have a FABULOUS aunt in our family, who does photography on the side and LOVES to take pictures of Camryn. Aunt Bug was very excited to take Cammie's Christmas and 3 month pictures! She had everything set up for the perfect Christmas picture and got some great shots of Cammie in 3 of her many Christmas outfits. (Having a girl is SOOO hard...the clothes are just so cute! :) By the time we got to the third outfit Cammie had had enough! (She is her father's daughter...he hates to have his picture taken.) Nevertheless, we got Christmas pictures, just not any we can keep up year round, so mom tried again!
Round 3: As many people know, I am the queen of coupons. I do not buy much if I don't have a coupon or it is not on sale. Not really sure where that comes from (my mom or dad neither one are like that), but I LOVE a great deal! Since we had yet to get 3 month pictures of Cammie that could be left up year round I thought I would try a new place that I got a coupon for in the mail. On Cammie's actual 3 month birthday, November, 24; Cammie, Chrissie and I traveled to St. Matthews Mall in Louisville to visit a place called The Picture People. I was a little nervous right before we got started because Camryn had fallen asleep about 10 minutes before our appointment. I knew that could mean disaster, however she did awesome! We had an amazing photographer, who clearly had experience with babies and was able to capture Camryn at her best! Check out this cute baby! http://www.picturepeople.com/sso/publishconfirm.sso?data=WC1f8aeN786tH69mm5hkUwB6tNZ3HB57BvUJZQ1l3DopOVLMqKjGUpt7s/t1EfLv (I know I am a proud mom, I just can't help it! :) Number 2 is my favorite! After 3 sessions, we finally have Christmas and regular pictures! Camryn made me promise no more pictures for a while! :)
LOVE all the last pics! Don't know how you decided on which ones to get! :) Can't believe they put her in that small box at Click. Poor baby! She is such a DOLL! I cannot believe how big she is getting!
