Imitating

Cammie is in such a fun stage right now and one thing she has started to do is imitate some of the sounds we make or things we do.  As a teacher I am amazed at how that little mind of her develops! One thing she has been working on is saying "uh-oh."  She can make the beginning sound "uh," but can't make the "oh" sound yet.  So if you say "uh-oh," she imitates "uh," emphasizing the end of the sound.  Love it! :)
Another thing Cammie imitates is this crazy sound Chris taught her.  I really don't know how to describe it other than it is an obnoxious k sound.  He just started making it one day and she took off with it!  She makes that crazy sound all the time and can do it on command, if you make it first.
In addition to imitating sounds, she also imitates faces and facial expressions.  She can make her version of a fish face (trying to capture a picture of her in action, but no luck so far) and a Brohdi face.  The Brohdi face requires somewhat of an explanation so hear it is.  We have two rescued boxers named Zoey and Brohdi.  Boxers can be known for having underbites and Brohdi's is quite prominent.  Brohdi will often look at you with the majority of his bottom teeth showing (it's priceless and one of the many reasons I fell in love with that crazy dog).  Chris started making a face at Camryn, where he sticks his bottom teeth out and then moves his mouth up and down.  It didn't take long for Cammie to catch on and now she makes a Brohdi face, moving her mouth up and down, proudly displaying her two front teeth.
